Progression In-game is achieved by completing journeys and contracts. Players access these through the character's menu -> Journeys; or by hitting ''J''.

Journeys

Players explore the main goals of the game by following these story-driven tasks. Journeys are recognized by a pink icon and reward unique items upon completion.   

Contracts

Employment opportunities that players find throughout the world, mainly in Contract Boards inside Tradeposts. These are recognizable by a blue icon, yield special rewards and are cancellable at any time. 

Tracking

The goal of a specific Journey/Contract highlights its location in the player's Compass, at the top of the screen. Track a maximum of one Journey plus one contract, visible in the top left corner of the screen, and activate/deactivate this fuction by pressing ''T'' while in the Journey Menu.  

Additionally some Journeys/Contracts will require you to Contact Issuer via the button with the same name. This button will appear once all Journey/Contract steps are completed. 

Rewards

Players win these automatically in their inventories upon completing a journey or contract. If the inventory is found full, players can redeem Journey and Contract rewards in the Journey Menu. 

Tips

Follow these steps if you ever get stuck while trying to complete a Journey/Contract:

  • Make sure you have the Journey/Contract tracked so that you get hints on the next require step; 
  • If you are unable to progress a Journey/Contract due to the NPC not giving you the next dialog option or other reasons, try to go back to the NPC from the previous step; return to the original NPC location or to the next location of the NPC/step; 
  • If you are stuck on a Contract, remember that you can abandon the contract and pick it up again.
  • If you are stuck in a Contract that requests you to ''Fabricate'' something, make sure to craft it and then place it in your inventory (item) / equip it (gear) / assemble it (vehicle).
