If your vehicle gets stuck while exploring Arrakis, try the following steps to free yourself:
Try These Steps:
- Prepare and Store Your Vehicle
- If you are stuck with a vehicle:
- Use the Vehicle Backup Tool to store your vehicle safely before moving.
- If the vehicle can’t be stored normally (e.g., because it has items inside), you can manually remove its inventory or opt to relocate it (see below).
- As an alternative, disassemble the vehicle with a welding torch to salvage parts.
- If you are stuck with a vehicle:
- Manually Climb or Jump Out
- Try climbing, jumping, or moving along the edges of the stuck area to find a route out.
- Log Out and Back In
- Logging out of the game for at least 60 seconds and then logging back in can reset your position and help you escape the stuck state.
- Respawn to a Safe Location
- If all else fails, use Respawn in the System Menu to return to a safe base or location. Note that respawning will reposition your character away from the stuck area.
We recommend using the steps suggested above whenever possible to avoid the loss of your vehicle. Customer Support is unable to restore stuck vehicles.
Vehicle Backup Tool recovery
The 1.2.10.0 update added a new option "Recovery" to our Vehicle Backup Tool, allowing players to recover lost vehicles from now on. Recovery is limited to a 30 days window and only the latest 5 vehicles will be displayed.
In order to recover vehicles using the "Recovery" options players will need to pay a Solaris fee and the recovered vehicle will lose 15% of its maximum durability. Vehicles with chassis durability below 15% won't be available to recover. An exception will be made for vehicles destroyed by the Coriolis storm and with durability above 5%.
Note: Only vehicles lost after the update will be recoverable through the vehicle recovery system and items stored in the vehicle's inventory modules won't be recovered.
Vehicle Relocation Feature
In addition to storing or recovering vehicles, the Vehicle Backup Tool now includes a relocation option that allows you to move any vehicle already on the same map to a new valid location. This works at the same cost as recovering a destroyed vehicle using the Vehicle Backup Tool’s recovery system. When relocating a vehicle:
The vehicle’s inventory contents will be dropped on the ground at the relocation site.
Any items stored inside the vehicle must be picked up manually afterward.
The relocation feature is especially useful if your vehicle is stuck in terrain and cannot be driven or stored normally.
This feature significantly increases flexibility for vehicles trapped in hard-to-reach places or terrain misplacements (e.g., stuck under rocks) by letting you reposition them without having to destroy and rebuild them.
