Some connectivity errors might be displayed when servers are down. Please check for any notices or scheduled downtime on our official Discord channel.

If no server issues/maintenance are going on, please follow the steps below:

  • Check if the selected server is one close to your geographical location to ensure the best connectivity. Choosing servers from further away can cause latency and overall poorer network performance.

  • Check your connection health for any latency or packet loss via a speed test (for example, Cloudflare Speedtest)

  • Try using an alternative connection, such as an alternate Wi-Fi network or switching to an Ethernet connection.

  • If you are using a VPN while playing, we recommend either switching VPN on, as this may help stabilize your connection and reduce network-related issues, or disabling the VPN entirely to see if it resolves the error.

To disable the native VPN on Windows, please follow these steps:
1. Press Win + I to open Windows Settings.
2. Navigate to Network & Internet.
3. Select the VPN section.
4. Locate your VPN connection and click Disconnect.

Some players have reported resolving network issues and errors by uninstalling specific network-related programs, such as cFosSpeed, which may come pre-installed with certain motherboards.

To uninstall:

1. Type Control Panel in the Windows search box and open it.
2. Go to Programs > Programs and Features.
3. Locate cFosSpeed (or any similar network optimization software), right-click it, and select Uninstall.
  •  Please check if there’s any network driver update available; if so, try to update and test launching Dune: Awakening again.

5. Restart the computer.
