In order to proceed with installing mods you'll need to:

  1. Get mod(s) from external sources (internet, Modders webpage, from Steam’s Workshop, etc...)
  2. Create a folder called "Mods" on the game installation folder;

   a. ex:"\EpicGames\Conan Exiles\WindowsNoEditor\ConanSandbox";

   3. Copy the desired mod(s) retrieved on the first step (only the .pak should be required) and add them on the folder in the second step;

In order to proceed with installing mods on a Dedicated server you'll need to:

  1. Get any mod from external sources (internet, Modders webpage, from Steam’s Workshop, etc...)
  2. Create a folder called "Mods" on "\EpicGames\ConanExiles\WindowsServer\ConanSandbox";
  3. Create a "modlist.txt" file on the created folder as mentioned in the second step.
  4. Edit the "modlist.txt" file and, for each mod you want the server to run, add a new line with the full path of the mod;

   a. Ex: Get a mod, e.g. Mod1.pak, and move it to "\EpicGames\Conan Exiles\WindowsServer\ConanSandbox\Mods". Now edit "modlist.txt" to include the following line"\EpicGames\Conan Exiles\WindowsServer\ConanSandbox\Mods\Mod1.pak";

   b. Repeat for any other mod.

On the next run, the dedicated server will have and run the installed mods.

The steps you can take to join a dedicated server running with mods are:

  1. Run the game and join a dedicated server running with mods;
  2. Verify that the “Mod Mismatch” menu appears listing the mods the player is missing;
  3. Proceed to download the missing mods by pressing the Download button;
  4. Once the download finishes press the Connect button;

A restart will happen which will auto-connect the player to the modded dedicated server.

Alternative you can manually install and activate the mods of the dedicated server if they get them from external sources.

 
How do I enable and disable a mod on the Epic Games Store version of the game?

The steps you need to follow to enable mods are as following:

  1. Run the game;
  2. On the main menu navigate to the “Mods” menu. Verify that installed mods are present on the “Available Mods” column;
  3. Move the mod you wish to activate to the “Selected Mods” column;
  4. Press back and restart the game as requested;

On the next run of the game, mods should be installed and ready to use on Single-Player/Co-op.

You can disable these mods simply by moving the mods from the “Selected Mods” column back to the “Available Mods” column.
